St Mary’s Church Woodchester is a warm and welcoming congregation of Christians from many different walks of life all doing our best to live out our faith day to day. Conscious of our own flaws and failings we support each other through life’s ups and downs, accepting each other as we are and working together to serve the wider community.

We are blessed with a beautiful Grade II* listed church building which is regularly used for services and other church and village activities. It’s set in a picturesque valley on the western edge of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by sunny hillsides and amazing countryside.

St Mary’s is part of a three-church benefice wrapping around the southern and eastern outskirts of Stroud. Our sister churches are Holy Trinity, Brimscombe and St. Mary Magdalene, Rodborough.

We welcome children and families and we have very close links with our neighbouring Woodchester Endowed C of E Primary School just across the road. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome if they can’t be left at home!
