Lunch with Friends

Since it’s foundation in 2014, Lunch-with-Friends has proved a real hit with everyone involved.

Using the church’s well-equipped kitchen, teams of volunteers from inside and outside the church come together to organise a delicious home-cooked, two-course meal accompanied by teas & coffees. There’s even wine on special occasions!

Usually hosted at the back of St Mary’s church at 12.00 noon on the third Friday of each month , lunch club is an opportunity for older village residents to get together with friends over a good meal. It is a real social highlight for many of our guests who often live alone and always welcome the chance to meet friends old and new.

Would you like to join us, either as a guest or a volunteer? We would love to see you and guarantee you a warm welcome. We cater for meat-eaters and vegetarian diets and can accommodate some special dietary requirements such as gluten-free and low sugar. Transport can also sometimes be arranged if needed.
