Lunch With Friends - an opportunity to help us!

Lunch With Friends in Woodchester needs you!

Our monthly lunch club continues to be as popular as ever, offering a delicious meal served with love and friendship to friends from our village and our benefice.   We are fortunate to be blessed with a team of willing volunteers, arranged into three groups (led by Christina, Gail/Helen and Liz C), who make this happen usually on the third Friday of each month.

However, we have also found it’s really important to have another co-ordinator role – someone who takes care of:

• liaising with all those who phone our guests each month

• letting the lunch club team leader know how many guests are attending and

• matching those who need lifts to the volunteers who give lifts (this is usually the same each month).

Zillah has done this key co-ordinator job faithfully for years and has developed a system that really works. We are ENORMOUSLY grateful to Zillah for everything she has done, but she now needs to step down and we really need someone to take this over.

We have a vacancy for an ‘angel’ to do this particular role - or perhaps two ‘angels’ so that you could take it in turns!  This job is a huge help for the Group Leaders who are already busy organising cooks, servers and washer uppers.

Is this something you might like to help us with?  You don't have to come to Lunch with Friends - although you would be very welcome if you would like to join us - and in fact most of this job can be done via email.  Full training will be given for anyone willing to help.
