Event:
‘Sunday Service’ - Special Safeguarding Sunday service
Further Information:
Safeguarding Sunday is a national movement that invites churches across the UK to stand together and show that the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and adults is important and is central to our life and witness as followers of Christ,
In its simplest terms, safeguarding is the protection of those in our care. In 1 Corinthians 13 we are told that love protects. Safeguarding is not just another 'thing' to do. It is an act of love, and love is central to our faith.
We are planning to join in with hundreds of churches around the country to explore this act of love. Helen Jackson, the Parish Safeguarding Officer for Woodchester, will be talking about the work she does in the church and we will all be encouraged to think about our part in this. Please join us for this special service.
